Our client, an independent security service company that strives to deliver the optimum service to all clients, irrespective of the needs through expertly designed combinations of traditional and cutting-edge security services is looking to hire a Project Manager (PM) to join their team. The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising the creation of security systems for the organization to ensure the safety and protection of personnel, campus assets, and information.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Possess intimate knowledge of security environments and have familiarity with recent trends and specific terrorist and criminal threats in Zambia.
  • Risk management skills, including problem identification, risk management planning, qualitative risk analysis and problem-solving.
  • Verified record of proven reliability and good conduct to minimize personnel and staffing issues.
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to use all common office management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with multiple levels of communication among various levels of management
  • Be able to maintain and manage communication between all parties
  • Expertise in all areas of physical security and access control
  • Must understand operational methods of all guard force units and zones for response
  • Must be capable of maintaining a professional demeanour under highly stressful circumstances
  • Be experienced in basic communications and radio use/procedures
  • Be able to define, sequence and estimate activities and resources
  • Experience acquiring, developing and managing project teams
Requirements
  • A Degree in Project Management or equivalent; Qualifications in a range of security-related skills is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading projects; with at least 2 years experience handling projects in a security service or security centric organisation.
  • Risk management skills, including problem identification, risk management planning, qualitative risk analysis and problem solving
  • Verified record of proven reliability and good conduct to minimize personnel and staffing issues
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to use all common office management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Experience with multiple levels of communication among various levels of management
  • Be able to maintain and manage communication between all stakeholders
  • Must be capable of maintaining a professional demeanour under highly stressful circumstances
  • Be experienced in basic communications requirements and radio use/procedures
  • Be able to define, sequence and estimate activities and resources
  • Experience acquiring, developing and managing project teams
  • Valid Police certificate.
