Tawansangthong Mining Limited is seeking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager and also a Procurement Officer to join our team and manage the acquisition of goods and services for our operations. Location: Lusaka
PROCUREMENT MANAGER X 1
The procurement Manager will be responsible to overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring the company acquires goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively to meet operational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Source new suppliers and vendors, negotiate favourable terms, and place orders for goods and services to realise the best value for the company.

Develop, manage, and maintain suppliers’ contracts to ensure compliance and value for money.

Implement strategies to reduce costs and identify opportunities for procurement savings.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and improve service delivery.
-
Liaise with stores and end-users to manage inventory levels effectively.

Facilitate the shipping, trucking, and transportation of goods.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and local and international regulations.

Generate monthly procurement reports, identify trends, and report on unusual items.

Develop and implement necessary policies to ensure smooth running of the department.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field is often preferred.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in Management role.

Member of the Zambia Institute of procurement and Supply (ZIPS)

Proficiency in procurement and software and Microsoft office suite.
Soft skills:
a) Strong negotiation, communication skills and interpersonal skills.
b) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
c) Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
d) Meticulous attention to details
Diploma/certificate in industrial Engineering will be an added advantage
PROCUREMENT OFFICER X 1
The procurement Officer will assist the Procurement Manager to oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary goods and services in line with company policies and applicable regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and managing relationships with suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier Management: Identify. Evaluate, and establish relationships with new and existing vendors and suppliers.

Negotiation: Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.

Sourcing: Research and compare suppliers based on product quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery schedules.

Order processing: Facilitate the purchasing process, manage procurement paperwork, and ensure smooth transactions.

Inventory & Logistics: Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods to support company.

Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, Zambian and international regulations.

Reporting: Maintain records of procurement activities and provide regular reports to Management.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

Diploma in Procurement & Supply Management, or Supply Chain Management or related field is often preferred.

Member of the Zambia Institute of procurement and Supply (ZIPS)

Minimum of three (3) Years’ experience in a similar role will be an added advantage

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Ability to research, analyse, and compare suppliers’ options.
