Keda Zambia Ceramics is a leading manufacturer in the ceramic industry, committed to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our team and lead the procurement department to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of purchasing staff.
• Assign daily tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance reviews.
• Provide ongoing training and support to enhance team performance.

Procurement Strategy Development:

• Design and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
• Analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Optimise sourcing methods to ensure efficiency and value.

Supplier Management:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Assess supplier capabilities, pricing, reliability, and quality.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity and service quality.

Purchase Order Management:

• Review, authorise, and manage purchase orders.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and timely processing.

Inventory Management:

• Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Prevent overstocking or stock-outs through effective purchasing planning.

• Solid knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Membership with a relevant professional body is an added advantage
