Quality Assurance Specialist, Zambia SPSC, AME

You will be responsible for
Managing Quality Assurance activities to ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled through the implementation and sustainability of the Quality Assurance programs. Continuous improvement of the programs to improve customer satisfaction and overall customer experience.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
Zambia SPSC plants supplies Corn hybrids seed to customers in the WESCA region. As the Quality Assurance Specialist at the Zambia plant, you will play an important role to meet the quality requirements of Corteva’s customers.
Your Challenge
-
Acts as the “lead” internal site-specific auditor for Quality Schedules and participates in quality audits to verify proper cleaning procedures, effective use of checklists and records which are designed to improve and sustain a high level of quality assurance. This includes calibration logs, cleanout checklists, sampling procedures, product run records, bagging weight checks, sample submission etc. assists to ensure that action items are documented in the approved system and follows up to ensure that action items are effectively closed on time. Analyzes trends from site audits and monitors findings from internal audits.

Leads planning and execution of the document management system to ensure that documents are maintained and efficiently organized. Ensures that reviews and approvals are conducted on time and that documents are published and effectively communicated using the approved system.

Manages the quality critical equipment register to ensure adherence to global calibration and verification specifications applicable to critical equipment identified in the process.

Responsible for reporting quality metrics including incidents with analysis and improvements identified and implemented. Complies data to publish the monthly Quality dashboard.

Manages the plant self-assessment program for Quality and Common Management policies.

Manages the customer complaints that are raised for the plant through investigations, identification and closure of corrective actions and communication.

Manages the Action Request system following up on investigations and closure of actions.

Leads the plant management reviews and evaluates effectiveness of the quality management system.

Provides support and direction to the warehouse for the implementation and sustainability of the Quality Assurance programs.

In partnership with operations develops the plant Quality training program. Provides identified training at the locations for quality related procedures.

Provides directions and support for the site in the implementation and sustainability of the Quality Assurance programs.

Responsible for Quality supply by clearing product for release.
Key Stakeholders And Interactions

As Quality Assurance Specialist at Zambia SPSC, the incumbent will report to the Production location Manager.

Key Stakeholders: Operations and Supply Chain.

Close Interaction with Quality Testing, Regional Quality team members, Zambia operations, Warehouse and commercial teams.

Qualifications
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
-
Degree or diploma in Agronomy, Production Management or Quality management or equivalent.
-
3-5 years’ experience in seed industry in production related operations will be an advantage.

Proficiency in Office Software with a strong aptitude in PowerPoint and Excel
-
Ability to interpret and analyze data sets using Statistical tools.

Proven ability to make timely decisions, solve problems and build consensus.
-
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are required to develop strong working relationships across various functions to enhance teamwork and a good working environment.
