CAPOLSA

The Centre for the Promotion of Literacy in Sub-Saharan Africa (CAPOLSA) of the University of Zambia as sub-contracted by Teaching At The Right Level (TaRL) Africa , will be conducting a process monitoring data collection exercise to support the measurement of student learning levels, program implementation fidelity, and intermediate outcomes, for a three-arm RCT that measures the effects of the Catch Up and Catch Up CPD programs. The data collection is planned for May to June 2024 in three target provinces; Central , Western , and Southern . CAPOLSA now seeks applications from eligible and available Zambian nationals to participate in the process monitoring assignment as i) Quality Control Officers and ii) Assessors .

1. Quality Control Officers (QCO)/Supervisors

DUTIES

• Provide quality control of the data collected by the assessors in the data collection exercise; manage assessors and ensure that all data collected adheres to minimum standards.

Required Qualifications/Experience :

• Grade 12 School Certificate
• First Degree in Education, Social Sciences, or relevant field.
  A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and data management.
• Excellent command of the Silozi , Chitonga , or Icibemba languages.
• Experience working with children or conducting data collection with children.
• MUST display the ability to create rapport with children.
• MUST be knowledgeable about the Teaching At The Right Level (Catch Up) Methodology.
• Must be amenable to instruction.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• Ready to work in the field in some hard-to-reach locations
