Job Description
Introduction
Our client is seeking an Office-based graduate quantity surveyor intern on a 12month paid internship programme to be part of the commercial team, who is looking to grow their career in consultancy practice.
As quantity surveyor intern, you will assist the commercial team in providing cost management services to clients. You will attend project and other meetings and will have an opportunity to grow your QS skillset and gain confidence to become a renowned quantity surveyor. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to attend internal and external knowledge share programmes.
Objective of this role

To provide strong technical and administrative support to the commercial team.
Your tasks

You shall mainly assist the commercial team in all aspects of quantity surveying services.
Required skills and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management or a related field.

Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.

Familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects.

Proficiency in Excel

Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Aptitude for learning and development
Preferred skills and qualifications

Professional membership with the Zambia Institute of Quantity Surveying -ZIQS

Familiarity with contract law and construction contracts.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
