Zambia Sugar Plc. is a subsidiary of ABF Group and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar, and other sugar downstream products.
The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position in the Human Resources department:
REGISTERED NURSE MIDWIFE x 3 – PERMANENT
This position will be reporting to the Nursing Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities

Provide quality bedside nursing care to inpatients, ensuring adherence to nursing protocols and patient safety standards.

Perform triage assessments, manage emergencies, and deliver critical care in high-pressure settings.

Collaborate effectively with doctors, medical licentiates, and clinical officers in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patient progress.

Deliver comprehensive Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services, including antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal care, and family planning.

Administer and manage Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), including counselling, patient monitoring, adherence support, and pharmacovigilance.

Execute a range of standard nursing procedures with competence, including Phlebotomy (blood sample collection), Intravenous (IV) line insertion, Urinary catheterisation, Wound cleaning and dressing, Oral and intramuscular (IM) drug administration.

Provide psychosocial counselling to patients and families as needed (added advantage).

Maintain accurate patient records and support the implementation of health programs and protocols.

Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the Nursing Officer in line with the scope of practice.
Minimum Requirements

Full Grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) credits or better.

Diploma in Registered Nursing from a recognised institution.

Advanced Diploma in Midwifery from a recognised institution.

Advanced Diploma in ART Management.

Preferably five (5) years of relevant nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting

Must be fully registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ).

Must possess a valid practicing license.

Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates verified by Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
