LIAS University College (Formerly Lusaka Institute of Applied Sciences Ltd) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registrar to join our dynamic team. In this senior-management role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of human resources and administration within the organisation.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Human Resources Management:

Lead the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.

Conduct comprehensive job analysis for vacancies and manage the recruitment and onboarding process.

Oversee staff welfare, development, performance management, and disciplinary processes.

Analyze HR data and maintain accurate personnel records.

Manage human resource budgets and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
Administrative and Logistical Support:

Provide effective administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the college.

Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets for efficient resource allocation.

Oversee the maintenance of college infrastructure and equipment.

Manage and maintain key college databases.

Oversee college transportation needs, including budgeting and vehicle maintenance.
Leadership and Communication:

Provide strong leadership and direction to the HR and administrative teams.

Foster effective communication and collaboration across all departments.

Proactively identify and resolve administrative and operational challenges.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role. (OR)

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a management role.

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a Registrar or similar role.

Strong understanding of human resource management principles and practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Membership in the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a valid practicing license (highly preferred).
