About the Human Rights Commission
The Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) is a National Human Rights Institution established under Article 230 of the 1991 Constitution of Zambia as amended by Acts No. 18 of 1996 and No. 2 of 2016. The Commission has the constitutional mandate of ensuring that the Bill of Rights is upheld and protected.
The Commission is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of Registry Clerk
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Registry Officer and will be responsible for:

Maintaining a register of incoming and outgoing mail and receipt of complaints

Undertaking timely opening and closing of files to maintain accurate records;

Keeping an inventory of closed files in readiness for dispatch to Archives Circulating open mail and files to actioning officers to avoid delays and leakages

Preparing timely complaints statistics to facilitate the flow and storage of information
-
Any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Must have a Grade 12 School certificate with 5 ‘O’ Level credits or better, including English and Mathematics

Must have an Advanced Certificate in Records Management,
-
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in records management.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment that sustains human rights principles;

Good Communication skills:
High levels of confidentiality;

Good interpersonal skills.
