Job Description

Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Regulatory Affairs Manager. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be responsible to oversee, support, and direct all tax aspects, regulatory matters, stakeholder engagement and support the Country Manager in all corporate matters for LMC, including mitigating risks and resolving statutory audits and disputes. The incumbent should be an ambassador for the company in industry and government forums, providing leadership to influence legislative developments and tax guidance. This role is based in the Barrick Country Office in Lusaka.

About The Team

The Lumwana copper mine is a conventional open pit (truck and shovel) operation. It’s located about 100 kilometers west of Solwezi in Zambia’s Copperbelt — one of the most prospective copper regions in the world. Lumwana ore, which is predominantly sulfide, is treated through a conventional sulfide flotation plant, producing copper concentrate.
