Job description:
Overall Job Purpose
The Reliability Engineer Data Systems provides support to the electrical and instrumentation installations through reliability engineering efforts that identify, develop, and ensure the implementation of improvement initiatives. Activities include the implementation of bad actor management and condition-based monitoring work identification processes.
The Reliability Engineer Data Systems responsibilities include:

Trending and analysing data,

Setting up and debugging dashboards,

Defect Elimination and Bad Actor Management,

Technical support, and Implementation of data reporting tools.
Specific Job Responsibility
As a Reliability Engineer in First Quantum Minerals – the following are core business expectations:

Support senior functional and process leaders to deliver expected results and provide a value-adding contribution to the overall effort.

Set direction and pace of the team by translating organizational goals, due to the service nature of the position, build strong and effective collaborative relationships with others internal and external to the department, Build and develop team talent.

Provide leadership and mentoring for your subordinates, including ongoing training and development, performance management, conflict management and crisis management. Ensuring the right people are in the right job. Put in place an agreed succession plan for all positions including your own. Discuss the performance with the team members against Reliability KPIs.

Develop a capability to provide an internal project and reliability engineering service for the process plant engineering sections. This will include a prioritization system and may require communications with Perth projects.

Provide support to the sections for RCA and lead RCA investigations on significant incidents as necessary.

Compile and analyze downtime data and use this information to affect the maintenance strategy for the process plant.

Coordinate the QA/QC process across the various sections of the process plant.

Develop and maintain the data summarizing and reporting tools and new technology implementation strategic plan where applicable.

Support long-term strategies and lifecycle plans for Process Plant Assets.
Job Specific Competencies

Competency in database and infographic packages, such as: SQL, PowerBI, SharePoint etc.

Able to set direction and monitor performance of subordinates.

Must be computer literate i.e., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project.
