Job Description
Reports to Radiology Coordinator/Medical Officer. The incumbent will conduct assigned study procedures and adhere to procedural and international guidelines for research conduct.
Main Duties
:

Explains to the participants the chest X-ray procedure and re-assure them of their safety.

Performs the chest X-ray procedure using a mobile X-ray machine and/or a stationary machine.

Be able to use a digital x-ray machine with CAD4TB and qXr CAD system scoring.

Ensures Radiation Protection and safety measures are adhered to.

Basic reading and interpretation of the CAD4TB X-ray

Refers the participants to the next station after Chest X-ray, depending on the results.

Reports timely, any malfunction of equipment to the Team Leader.

Ensures the safety of all radiological equipment in your custody.

Ensures and verify that all x-ray forms are completed accurately and documented by the study staff

Prepares timely and quality x-ray reports.

Follow and adheres to the guidelines of Good Clinical Practices.

Collaborates with Data Coordinator/Technician and other staff to ensure timely completion and transmission of x-ray images onto the online storage portal (cloud).

Uphold confidentiality

Provides timely feedback (positive and negative) to study staff regarding x-ray forms completion and accuracy.
Qualifications
:

Grade 12 certificate
-
Diploma in Radiography.
-
GCP and NHRA certificate are an added advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent written and spoken English skills

Ability to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time

Advanced knowledge of electronic equipment (i.e., computer, e-mail, copier, phones, etc.

Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures

Present a positive and professional approach
Able to use portable digital X ray unit.
