Revenue Accountant

The job purpose is to ensure financial, clerical and administrative support so as to provide efficient, timely and accurate revenue reports & records.

Responsibilities :

• Must have good knowledge on GAAP & Accounting Standards
• Ensure that all cash, cheques etc, are deposited in safes and that the revenue collected is banked on daily basis in accordance with Bem Motors Limited Policies.
• Ensure revenue entries have been posted correctly in the company accounting system (PASTEL Partner).
• Collection of bank statements for all revenue bank accounts and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor stock of accountable documents, banking slips, ledger sheets and other necessary documents are available at all times for easy operation of the department.
• Assist with internal & external audits.
• Assist with preparation of annual budget.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Must be a paid up member of ZICA.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance procedures.
• Excellent Excel skill and attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software packages.
