VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT (INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL):
ADVERTISEMENT NO. 1 OF 2023
Chama Town Council wishes to inform the general public that, in order to serve the community better, applications are hereby invited from all suitable qualified individuals to fill the under listed vacancy positions.

2. JOB TITLE: REVENUE COLLECTORS (02)

JOB PURPOSE
To undertake the collection of all revenues due to the Council in order to finance its operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY:-
• Undertakes effectively and efficiently the collection of all revenues due to the Council in order to finance Council’s operations.
• Undertakes effectively the availability and security of accountable documents under the job holder’s mandate in order to collect revenue due to the Council and prevent unauthorized access thereto.
• Undertakes timely the preparation and maintenance of accounting records in order to facilitate storage and retrieval of financial and accounting information

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: –
Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate with Five (5) Credits or better including in English and Mathematics

MINIMUM VOCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:-
• Basic accounting, an added advantage

MINIMUM RELATED PRE-JOB EXPERIENCE ATTRIBUTES: –
• Entry level
