Job Description:

North Star is looking for a proactive and experienced Risk Manager to oversee our risk management processes in Lusaka. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
Identify and assess financial and operational risks.
Monitor and report on risk exposures and trends.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
Ensure compliance with risk management regulations and standards.
Conduct risk assessments and audits.
Provide risk management training and support to staff.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Risk Manager or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
Proficiency in risk management software and MS Office.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) preferred.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience:

At least 5-7 years of experience in risk management.
