Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Safety Documentation and Systems Specialist – FS (Fixed Term Contract) to join the Project Department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and ensuring compliance with our safety documentation and system.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and records.
• Ensure safety systems, including permits, training records, and incident reporting, are functioning effectively.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Assist with internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide training and support to employees on safety documentation and systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of safety documentation and systems.
• Collaborating across the project to compile and update vital safety information
• Supervising the distribution and retrieval of safety documents, supporting efficient document management
• Facilitating internal- and external audits and inspections by swiftly providing required documentation

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in safety documentation and systems management
• Experience with safety management systems and software will be added advantage
• Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Clean Class B or C manual Driver’s licence
