Under the supervision Safety Operations Coordinator, you will be involved in monitoring the implementation and adherence to safety procedures in operational areas and contribute to our achievement of ZERO HARM

Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: –

• Ensure safety risk assessments are conducted before commencement of tasks
• Check adherence to proactive safety measures, such as Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and or Job Safety Analysis (JSA) applicable to the job or task at hand
• Audit employee adherence to mining regulations in operational areas.
• Participate in scheduled and or random safety inspections to identify unsafe acts/conditions in work areas
• Verify implementation of critical controls for critical tasks
• Participate in investigation of incidents and non-conformances to prevent recurrences
• Attend health and safety meetings, such as Pre-Shift Information (PSI) meeting in work areas to help resolve safety issues as they arise.
• Conduct and participate in occupational health and safety induction trainings
• Participate in internal and external Safety audits

To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following .

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from a reputable institution
• Must have a Zambia Driving License
• Must have good written and oral communication skills in English
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
• Demonstrated ability to improve team safety awareness.
• Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas
