The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of Water and Energy solutions in the East, Central and Southern African region with a network of branches in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region.

The company has openings for the positions of Sales Interns at its Lumumba office in Lusaka Province, Zambia. The successful candidates will report to the Sales Manager and the role is an opportunity to gain experience in the Water & Energy segments.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes: –

• An Engineering degree
• Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office
• A self-starter, energetic and go-getter who can work without close supervision
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and spoken English
• A driver’s license will be an added advantage

The expectation is that the incumbent will develop skills that enable them to,

• Gain a deep understanding of D&S’ range of products
• Correctly specify solutions to meet client requirements
• Conduct site surveys and gain an understanding of installation concepts
• Identify new markets and develop appropriate sales approaches to leverage the benefits of the company products

The successful candidates will be exposed to a dedicated team of specialists in the water and energy sectors with a possibility of potential for employment in the company if a position is available.
