VACANCY : Security /Compliance & GSM Operation Engineer

LEVEL : Manager

LOCATION : Lusaka, HQ

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the on-ground enforcement and continual monitoring of security operations within all Airtel functions, strategic partners and other third parties in the OPCO. Providing support for managed security services; supporting business and technology teams by evaluating security related aspects of critical services.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

• • Manage IT Information security operations and across all IT partners
• • Driving initiatives to enforce and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
• • Ensuring ongoing compliance with information security policies and procedures
• • Maintaining and continuously improving the organization’s ISO 27001 and 22301 certifications
• • Conducting and facilitating internal and external audits and management reviews to ensure ISMS effectiveness
• • Manage Application Security and Access Controls.
• • Conducting of application security reviews of all in-house and COTS applications
• • Security Override Document (SOD) and Policy Change Review (PCR) management in applications and firewalls respectively.
• • Establishing robust SOD management process across all functions including MS partners
• • Manage Security Intelligence Framework.
• • Identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities to assess potential impact to provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations for remediation
• • Analyze security incidents and determine the next course of action
• • Facilitating investigations by Internal Assurance
• • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are aligned with information security requirements
• • Facilitating all IT audits to ensure adherence to organization policies and audit recommendations

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:

• • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Technology/Engineering or related discipline.
• • Security Certification preferred (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CEH, etc.)
• • Adequate knowledge of the ISO 27001 and 22301 Standards.
• • Excellent knowledge of information technology frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL.
• • A high-level appreciation of Security Architecture and Infrastructure across application, middleware, OS and network domains.

Relevant Experience:

• • 5 to 10 years’ experience in security compliance.
• • Demonstrated knowledge of Information Security standards, policies, controls and structures prevalent in the telecom industry along with Africa operating environment.
• • Extensive experience in handling information security operations or consulting for large and geographically dispersed organizations.
• • A detailed understanding of systems design and systems development methodologies is required.
• • Should be familiar with the contents of relevant Government Acts and Guidelines in the Information Technology domain.
• • Knowledge and experience in asset management and risk management.
• • Knowledge of the latest trends, technology developments, tools and methodologies in the IS Risk Management arena.
