Reporting to the
Surveillance and Access Control Coordinator
, The Senior Systems Specialist will be responsible for all Security Information Systems such as Online Intelligence Systems, MS Track Pro, Security Intranet Portal, Security document management and Information sharing.
Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: –

Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures inclusive of the company’s commitment to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.

Design and implement Security Information Systems Policies and Procedures.
-
Design and implement Security surveillance and Access control systems which includes procurement and installation of software and hardware components.
-
Ensure compliance to SOX (Sarbanes Oxley).
-
Develop, implement and manage data security on Security Information Systems.
-
Administration of Security Information Systems which include Online Intelligence Systems, MS Track Pro, Security Center Manager, Security Desk, Vehicle Tracking, ID Flow, CCLS and Easy Roster.

Plan and execute projects, providing the necessary diagrams, documentations, reporting and support.
-
Actively monitor systems and their related statistics; effectively troubleshoot system issues or problems as needed.
-
Manage vendor relationships and secure assistance in design, installation and troubleshooting to a set standard and procedure.
-
Ensure that viable disaster recovery and back up plans are in place for all Security Information systems.
-
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and offer viable recommendations.
-
Effectively log, manage and communicate any issues and communicate escalating issues in a timely manner.
-
Mentor and train new hires and existing staff as required in use of Security Information Systems.

Perform other duties as assigned
-
Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the LMC Occupational Health & Safety Policy.

Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Prepare and manage the budget for the function.
To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following
;
-
Diploma Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Intelligence or Police Studies
-
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
-
Member of Computer Society of Zambia
-
A minimum of 2 years working experience in system management, design and implementation of Security Information Systems such as Tracking, Incident management and Security Reporting Systems including Surveillance Systems will be added advantage
-
Experience in designing, managing and implementing Microsoft SQL 2005 or 2008 and other Microsoft related systems.
-
Detailed Knowledge of Microsoft Excel as Data Analysis and Reporting Package.
-
Must have programming skills in T-SQL, Crystal and SQL Reporting Services.

Highly skilled in information systems analysis, development and implementation
-
Advanced investigative capabilities in regard to commercial crime would be an advantage
-
Able to clearly demonstrate the aptitude to drive a light vehicle and hold a current Zambian driver’s licence or be able to obtain one.
-
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
