POSITION
Senior Accountant –  Vacancy Announcement

DEPARTMENT & LOCATION
Accounts & Finance, Lusaka

JOB PURPOSE

To perform a full range of accounting and finance duties, including preparation of annual financial reports and statements and Cash Flow Projections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting in the management of the overall financial control environment to identify, control and escalate potential risks.
• Provide appropriate leadership, coaching, supervision and guidance to the Team.
• Assist the Chief Accountant in managing the Company’s Treasury, Receivables and Payables.
• Spearhead submission of returns and payment of statutory obligations.
• Work with auditors to ensure accurate and complete audit documents are kept and availed.
• Assist with the preparation of various Budgets.
• Spearhead the payroll management, to ensure full compliance to regulations and company policy.
• Supervise the accurate preparation of monthly payroll.
• Maintain an updated Schedule for employee service benefits, such as gratuity and others
• Ensure that company assets are well secured and documented by keeping complete and updated Asset Register.
• Secure and Safeguard Company information through regular and safe back up of company files.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

Preferred Professional Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia or equivalent).
• Must be a registered member of ZICA.

Knowledge / Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
