PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Senior Corporate Planning Officer-Strategy M&E will ensure effective implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities within the organization. He/she will play a critical role in assessing performance, efficiency, and impact of programs/activities, ensuring that objectives are met in line with the company Strategic Business Plan, and providing data-driven insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
MAIN DUTIES
- Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
- Recommend further improvement of the logical framework.
- Develop & update mechanisms for real time monitoring of operational indicators.
- Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the Strategic Business Plan (SBP) success.
- Ensure effective actualization of SBP activities and project deliverables.
- Recommend best practices in monitoring and evaluation procedures to achieve implementability.
- Ensure effective implementation, monitor and evaluate policies and strategies meant to improve ZRL’s service delivery and revenue generation.
- Monitoring the implementation of the company’s SBP.
- Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the SBP activities by identifying bottlenecks in completing activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
- Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all SBP activities to management.
- Perform risk management to minimize potential SBP risks.
- Ensure corporate KPIs are met.
- Tracking performance against corporate objectives, analyzing KPIs, and reporting outcomes.
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate policies and strategies meant to improve ZRL’s service delivery and revenue generation in line with the SBP.
- Monitor and take initiative to control expenditures and ensure cost alignment to the Strategy and budget limits.
- Actively participate in the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Explore various innovations to respond to dynamics in the business environment and implement corporate strategy.

Academic /Professional Qualifications:
- Full grade 12 certificate (5 ‘0’ levels) with credit or better in Mathematics and English
- Bachelor’s degree in economics/Statistics/Project Management/Demography/Social Science/or equivalent.
- Professional Certificate in Monitoring & Evaluation is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years’ experience.
- Membership to a professional body is a must.
