Qualifications

The Senior Electrician Must Have:

  • Knowledge of Electrical and electronic engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical Safety and Standards
  • Knowledge of Project management
  • Extensive knowledge of Electrical circuits, faults and troubleshooting techniques

Qualifications Requirements for the Automotive Mechanic are:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution, Grade Twelve (12) Certificate and a Member of EIZ
  • 4 Years of Experience as an electrician Experience in people and /or project management
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of staff supervision management and operations
  • Experience in High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems

Senior Electrician

Yalelo seeks to hire an experienced and eager Senior Electrician to lead the Electrical team to undertake a variety of electric repairs and periodic testing within a production area. To assist the Electrical team to ensure compliance with regulations, ensuring the service is efficient, customer focused and cost effective and that a quality product is delivered all the time.

Location: The role will be primarily based in Siavonga.

The Right Fit candidate will:

  • Concentrate and specialize in electrical design, installation, alteration, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of main and branch circuits of interior and exterior electrical systems.
  • Repair power distribution, transformer, emergency generators and other miscellaneous electrical components.
  • Perform planning, estimating and commission of new construction and renovations of electrical systems and equipment which requires being directly involved in calculating and balancing three phase panel loads.
  • Read electrical blueprints, diagrams, wiring schematics and other drawings.
  • Compile documents, analyses test data, and performs electrical calculations to determine source of problems and the corrective action to take.
  • Use various electrical test instruments to determine power requirements and availability.
  • Assemble and installs lighting fixtures, switches, disconnects, electrical panels, junction boxes, conduit fittings, hangers, pulls wiring / cabling and makes wiring terminations
  • Assemble, installs, tests, and repairs electrical conduits, fittings, electrical panels, switchboards, transformers, motor controls centres and motor starter and ensure safe execution of each assignment
  • Assign completes, and documents work requests utilizing the Facilities (CMMS) Computerized Maintenance Management System, Schedules work with managers and other departments
  • Manage electrical contractor activities and work plans
  • Manage and continuously develops the team of electricians, ensuring that forecast labour and material resources are appropriately planned and allocated in accordance with projected workflow and agreed budgets
