Job Title: Senior Manager: Consumer Segments and Products.
Under the supervision of the Chief Consumer Officer, below are the Key Job Responsibilities:

Manage the data, voice and device portfolio, leading the development of innovative propositions to maximise sales targets in line with MTN Zambia’s consumer segment strategy.

Define the overall device growth framework, data and voice strategy, ensuring alignment with MTN Zambia’s mission, vision and strategic direction.

Identify opportunities to create or enhance value, address areas where value is being eroded and unlock latent potential across products and services.

Evaluate the long-term impact of strategic and operational decisions on business sustainability, considering current and future market dynamics.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive Proposition Development Roadmap, working closely with segment teams to define and implement key initiatives.

Oversee the management of data and voice propositions, designing and executing action plans to increase customer uptake, usage and profitability.

Drive business growth and differentiation through the continuous development of innovative voice and data offerings.

Collaborate with Sales & Distribution and segment managers to forecast and identify future opportunities for voice and data propositions using a segmented approach.

Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, including updates on activities, budget adherence and stakeholder feedback.

Introduce new market differentiators to strengthen MTN Zambia’s competitive advantage within the telecommunications industry.

Ensure high-quality delivery of propositions and projects that meet internal and end-user requirements.

Establish and enforce effective processes and systems to guarantee timely delivery and quality assurance of all related projects and documentation.

Provide leadership and oversight to Global Connect teams, ensuring achievement of key performance indicators for international and roaming services.

Develop and implement a strategy for handsets (e.g. smartphones) and other hardware (e.g. data cards), in coordination with Sales, Segment Managers and Brand & Communication.

Lead the testing, evaluation and selection of devices to ensure alignment with customer and business needs.

Drive smartphone adoption and penetration across customer segments, in collaboration with Sales & Distribution.

Define technical specifications for devices and oversee the programme management of their delivery. Forecast, plan and manage budgets that ensure a strong return on investment and secure necessary approvals from the operating company (OPCO).
Requirements

Full Grade 12 certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics (compulsory).

A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Sciences or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Minimum of eight (8) years’ industry experience.
Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies will be an added advantage.

Strong competencies in proposition development and management, business case development and analytics, among other relevant skills.

Proven experience in the rollout of devices, either with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or MNO (Mobile Network Operator), is essential.

Membership with a recognised professional body is required, in this case Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
