Job Description
The Senior Mineral Resource Geologist plays a crucial role in team development and is responsible for geological modelling, resource estimation, and contributions to reserve assessments. Additionally, they oversee stope design wireframes and propose drilling sites for infill drilling with occasional supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

Utilize 3D modelling software such as Datamine, Leapfrog, Micromine, and Surpac.

Demonstrate expertise in Base Metal operations.

Manage drilling programmes effectively.

Implement rigorous QA/QC protocols.
-
Maintain and manage geological databases.
Key Performance Areas:

Collaborate on aspects related to Diamond drilling for wireframe updates.
-
Plan underground exploration drill holes to improve drill hole data quality in low-confidence resource areas.

Ensure QA/QC compliance, including core property tests and ore mineralogy assessments.

Manage Geological database efficiently.
-
Regularly update mineral resource wireframes.
-
Update wireframe skins as required.
-
Conduct Statistical and Geostatistical analyses to understand deposit behavior.

Provide validated Raw and composited drill hole files for resource updates.
-
Update wireframes to reflect geological confidence levels.
-
Conduct Mineral Resource estimations for project purposes.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Science (Geology) or equivalent.

Competence Certificate in Mineral Resource estimation is advantageous.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Mineral Resource Estimation role.

Ability to create wireframes or digital terrain models using drillhole, Channel samples, and mapping data.

Experienced in data statistical and Geostatistical analyses.

Familiarity with industry guidelines and requirements.
-
Membership in a Geoscience professional body is preferred.
