The Company
Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in Southern Africa is working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their team.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role focuses on tailings management and requires strong technical expertise.

The Responsibilities

• Supervise projects, manage coordination of deliverables, and review technical designs and reports.
• Conduct slope stability assessments and interpret in-situ and laboratory geotechnical tests.
• Utilize advanced soil mechanics knowledge and modelling for tasks such as critical state line, FEM modelling, and triaxial testing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in written English, particularly in preparing technical reports and feasibility studies etc.

The Requirements

• BSc Eng (Civil) qualification is essential.
• Specialization in geotechnical aspects (tailings) of civil engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Strong project management skills and site investigation experience are advantageous.
• Proven ability in client relations, proposal writing, and client engagement.
• Willingness to work independently, take project ownership, and lead junior to mid-level technical staff.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as Rocscience and Geostudio.
