Reporting to the Township Security Coordinator, you
will be responsible for providing security in Lumwana Mining Township, responding to all emergency calls and maintaining law and order in our community.
Duties and responsibility for this position will include but not limited to the following.

Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures inclusive of the company’s commitment to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and company reputation.

Conduct Security sensitization for both the external and internal communities in conjunction with Sustainability and LPDC respectively.

Supervise daily security operations within the township, ensuring compliance with security protocols and procedures.

Monitor access control points to the township, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter Access the area.

Supervise, train and coordinate security officers / scouts assigned in township to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in securing employees, families, and company property.

Act as the first point of contact for security incidents within the township, such as theft, disputes, or emergencies.

Conduct preliminary investigations and gather intelligence on security-related issues before escalating them.

Conduct regular risk assessment of the township area to identify potential security vulnerabilities.

Provide direct support to the Township Security Coordinator in planning and executing security strategies for the township
To be considered for the position, one must meet the following requirements:
-
Grade 12 School Certificate.

Diploma in Security, Social Science, Education or Law related field.
-
At least Five (5) years’ experience in security, law enforcement, military or public safety department.

Must have a current Zambian driver’s license.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
-
Must be familiar with local laws, security technology (CCTV, access control).

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
