Description

JOB PURPOSE

To sell and manage both contingent and asset Trade Finance products among them; Import Documentary Credit, Export Documentary Credit, Bank Guarantees, Import Documentary Collections, Export Documentary Collections, Bills Discounting, Trade Loans, Order Finance, Export LC discounting, Supplier Finance, and many more to ZANACO corporate clients across the market.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for structuring and implementation of Trade Finance product solutions for both CIB and Business Banking customers in Zambia market.
  • Responsible for marketing of high-quality Trade related business in Zambia in collaboration with RMs and sustain Zanaco’s wallet share of Trade business from CIB and Business Banking customers.
  • Responsible for identification of new opportunities in the market for Trade products in order to raise the profile of the Bank’s Trade Finance market and make Zanaco the bank of choice for Trade products in Zambia Market.
  • Responsible for the implementation of Trade product sales plans in line with the overall sales strategies in order to ensure that revenue targets are achieved.
  • Solicit business from existing and new customers through consultative and aggressive sales plan to maximize utilization of approved Trade facilities.
  • Train and ensure that all members of the Trade Finance team have the necessary understanding of Trade products offered by the bank and advise them on any new global developments in Trade Finance.
  • Access and review Trade products offered by the competitors in the market along with their pricing strategies
  • Responsible for Trade related cost management where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling of other bank products and advise the concerned dept accordingly.
  • Ensure that a comprehensive customer charges database is in place and accurately used in order to maximize Trade revenue and to minimize Trade revenue leakages.
  • Roll out Trade products where applicable.
  • Assist and work closely with the relationship managers and product partners in ensuring closures via joint calling, preparing and executing presentations, proposals and resolutions.
Requirements

Qualifications/Experience

Education: University Degree in relevant subject

Professional: Diploma in Banking and Finance Diploma

Minimum Experience: At least Five (5) years banking experience

  • Understanding of all Zanaco Trade Services products and account opening, KYC, Cash and other Branch process requirements
  • Thorough understanding of ICC rules such as UCP 600, URR 725, URC 722, URDG 758, INCOTERMS 2000, laws and regulations governing International Trade.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation e.g. KYC, Anti – Money laundering, Banking code.
  • Understanding of people’s policies and processes
  • Demonstrated complaint handling and resolution skills
