Mission
In collaboration with the admin division’s SHEQ Manager, implement global SHEQ initiatives to ensure alignment with Group directives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

a)    Implement, manage and develop an Integrated Management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 and  ISO45001Standards;
–    Management system, documented and up to date;
–    Audits;
–    Training;
b)    Road Safety Implementation
c)    Legal compliance (SHEQ);
d)    Implementing Epiroc Group and URE Division guidelines;
e)    Set up quality, environment, health and safety objectives and targets and follow up the performance, make sure the targets align with the division and group targets and ensure that all personnel are aware of them and their contribution to its accomplishment;
f)    Sustain reporting;
–    Report (in ECS and to URE Division);
–    Follow up on performance;
–    Actions;
g)    Risk assessments and actions;
h)    Continuous improvement in the SHEQ area;
i)    Implement and follow up on plans and actions;
j)    Training and communication;
k)    Prepare the annual internal audit plan (1st Party) and ensure the execution of such  plan;
l)    Coordinate external 3rd Party audits for Epiroc Zambia Ltd;
m)    Arrange for the management review of the Integrated management system twice annually and he or a nominee is secretary to the Management Review meetings;
n)    Report to the Management Review Team the effectiveness of the SHEQ Management System in Epiroc Zambia;
o)    Coordinate in case of Fire, Chemical spill or in case of work related personal injuries;
p)    Conduct fire drills and chemical spill simulations every six months;

3.0    Monitoring
a)    Conduct internal audits;
b)    Monitor the performance of Epiroc measurement systems to facilitate the accomplishment of the Company business goals;
c)    Coordinate the calibration of all equipment used on measurements and for weighing in order to have valid results and ensure statutory requirements are met;
d)    Coordinate the legal testing of all lifting appliances to ensure appliances are safe for use and legal requirements are met;
e)    Monitor general waste and waste oil generation and disposal;
f)    Monitor the quality of effluent discharge and air emission;
g)    Coordinate occupational hygiene monitoring surveys;
h)    Monitor compliance to legal and other requirements;
i)    Prepare and submit statutory reports to Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA);
j)    Prepare and submit Sustainability quarterly reports on Environment to the Group;

Competences, skills and experience
a)    Ability to plan;
b)    In depth knowledge of SHEQ management system;
c)    Knowledge of SHEQ management system auditing;
