Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

The Shipment Supervisor is responsible for the management and supervision of the Shipping and Customs section. They serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in facilitating inbound and outbound shipments and customs clearance of personal and official effects, privately owned vehicles (POV), and other property of U.S. citizen personnel and U.S. Government equipment
and supplies. The position is under the supervision of the Assistant General Services Officer (A-GSO).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the field of international customs, shipping, logistics or transportation is required. An additional one (1) year of supervisory experience in the field of international customs, shipping, logistics, or transportation is also required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Detailed knowledge of local government import/export and customs laws, policies and procedures, including tax policies. Detailed knowledge of local motor vehicle policies with respect to registration, transfer, licensing, and taxes.

Education Requirements:
College (2 years) or Post-Secondary School

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:  English – Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate. Nyanja/Bemba – Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate

SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must possess excellent supervisory and management skills and the ability to deal with people effectively and diplomatically, teamwork, leadership skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office application suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have a valid, current license for Class C.
