Job Description
Premium Medical Services Ltd is seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and
compassionate candidate to fill the position of Sister-In-Charge. The Sister-In-Charge will be responsible for providing effective managerial and clinical leadership to ward and department staff, ensuring the smooth operation of all medical activities. The candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting medical staff, and contributing to the efficient functioning of the hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities

In charge of all the nursing care at Premium Medical Services Limited.

In charge of the general cleanliness of the clinic.

Liaise with the CEO/Director Medical Services in the procurement of equipment and supplies that ensure good nursing care.

Responsible for orders from the storeroom.

Responsible for the preparation of nurses’ timetable and ensure that it is adhered to.

Custodian of the night medicine box located in the treatment room.
-
Record patients, medical records and monitors vital signs.

Supervising nursing staff and monitoring their needs.

Co-ordinating daily administrative duties, including schedules, nursing
assignments and patient care.

Mentoring and training new staff and providing support and guidance to all staff members.

Handle all maintenance activities of the hospital.

Monitor attendance records for all hospital staff, including part-time and
consultants.

In Liaison with other clinical staff (doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and administrators) will communicate any protocol changes to staff.

Submit timesheets to Human Resource Department.

Responsible for all hospital compliance and regulations.

Manage petty cash.

Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Preparing Monthly Nursing Reports.

Identifying cases, emergencies and responding in a calm and efficient manner.

Any other lawful responsibilities which management may deem fit and necessary for the smooth operation of Premium Medical Services Limited.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Full Grade 12 Certificate.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Must be a registered Midwife.
-
Licensed with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia.

Should have worked at a senior position as a Nurse with 10 years’ experience in a busy health care facility.
