Our client is seeking a Site Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Day to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints.
 - Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress.
 - Supervising contracted staff and meeting with sub-contractors. Coordinating employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage.
 - Requisition all materials, and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the procurement schedule.
 - Preparing site progress reports.
 - Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
 - Mediate on-site conflict.
 - Plan and efficiently organize the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff.
 - Keep in close contact with members of their site team, and liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners.
 - Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.
 - Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork.
 - Supervise, manage and motivate all site team including effective management of sub-contractor activities on site ensuring they are engaged on target in line with the master programme.
 - Organize and chair weekly review meetings with time on site/sub-contractors’ team.
 - Keep in close contact with members of their site team, and liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners.
 - Assessing and minimizing risk.
 - Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
 - Making safety inspections and ensuring site safety.
 - Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner.
 - Ensuring timely management of any unforeseen delays.
 
Skills
- Incumbent must strictly administer the Company Safety Policy and Procedure.
 
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
 - At least 3-5 years’ experience in a construction environment or project-based work site.
