Bumara is an AI-powered ERP platform built for African businesses. Our solution brings together compliance, accounting, payroll, CRM, inventory, and document management — helping organizations save time, reduce costs, and grow with confidence.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join our team and contribute directly to building features that matter to businesses across Zambia and beyond.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable web and backend applications.
  Collaborate with co-founders and the product team to deliver core ERP modules.
• Work with modern tools like Next.js, React, Convex, Appwrite, Hono, TypeScript, Go and Tailwind.
• Implement secure and efficient database structures (SQL/NoSQL).
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Explore and contribute to AI-powered features within the platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a full-stack developer (or strong frontend/backend with willingness to learn the other side).
• Solid skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React/Next.js.
  Backend experience with Node.js, Express, Hono or backend-as-a-service tools (Convex, Firebase, Appwrite)
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Ability to work in a startup environment: self-driven, collaborative, and flexible.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SaaS platforms, ERP systems or Payments systems.
• Knowledge of AI integrations (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, MCP protocals).
• Familiarity with Zambian regulatory systems (ZRA, PACRA, NAPSA).
