Our client in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a reliable and skilled Solar Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for various projects.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for installations of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Oversee the installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Test and inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A valid membership with Engineering Institution of Zambia.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector will be added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
