Job Summary:
Mulungushi Innovations is looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. In this role, you will work with students with diverse learning needs, creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Your expertise in special education will be instrumental in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Instruction:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning needs and goals. Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement. Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to support student development.

Classroom Management:
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and respect. Establish clear expectations and maintain consistent routines to support student engagement.

Collaboration:
Work closely with other educators, specialists, and parents to coordinate support services and resources for students. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to team discussions.

Behavioral Support:
Implement positive behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors. Provide guidance and support to students in developing social skills and emotional regulation.

Professional Development:
Stay informed about best practices in special education and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

3+ years of experience teaching students with special needs.

Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
