The National Prosecution Authority (NPA) is an autonomous body established by the NPA Act No. 34 of 2010. Its mission is to “provide prosecution services to contribute to a crime free Zambia’. In its quest to improve service delivery, the Authority is hereby inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the following positions:
1. State Advocate Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: NPA/04
Number of positions: Thirty-six (36) Positions
Reports to: Senior State Advocate
Main Job Purpose
To prosecute criminal cases in all courts of Zambia to bring offenders to justice.
Specific Duties and Requirements:

Prosecutes effectively criminal cases to facilitate the proper dispensation of justice;
-
Processes timely dockets and issues summary trial certificates to expedite the delivery of justice;
-
Renders effectively legal opinion to government departments and provides legal guidance on complaints to members of the public about criminal law to facilitate the administration of justice; and
-
Guides and directs law enforcement agencies in the conduct of criminal investigations to ensure proper administration of justice.
Qualifications and Work Experience

Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or its equivalent;

LLB Degree;
-
Valid practicing certificate;
-
Must be a member of the Law Association of Zambia; and
-
Must be a Zambian citizen.
