STOCK CONTROLLER

JOB TITLE: Stock Controller

REPORTING TO: Branch Manager

DEPARTMENT Stock Control

JOB TYPE: Stock Controller

LOCATION: Choppies Supermarkets Limited (Zambia)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Track stock levels and ensure that supplies are sufficient to the demands

Checking stock levels and updating stock records

Perform stock counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for

Planning and managing full stock counts and checks

To ensure all data collections and adjustments are done and authorized

Investigate and correct any discrepancies in reported variance quantities

Able to identify inventory output on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to maintain trendsin productivity

File claims when defective products are discovered

Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items

Coordinate regular inventory audits

Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)

Experience Required Academic Qualification:

Diploma in any business courses or related.

Work Experience and Skill:

Minimum 2 years in the Retail Industry
