Job Description

Marshlands Lodges and Apartments Limited , a company wholly owned by the University of Zambia (UNZA), is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following positions at Marshlands Lodges and Apartments Limited under the Business Development Office.

JOB TITLE: STORES OFFICER (1 Position)

PURPOSE: Responsible for keeping stock for the Company

RESPONSIBILITIES

i) Participates in the formulation/review of policies and preparation/review of work manuals and procedures and related documentation.

ii) Stores in appropriate places according to the department.

iii) Advising the user department on the availability of stock.

iv) Advising the superior on obsolete stock for disposal.

v) Issuing of stock to appropriate departments

vi) Verify and ensure that goods received from suppliers are in correct quantity and quality.

vii) Recording all incoming and outgoing materials.

viii) Updating stores records to indicate accurate quantities of stock.

ix) Weekly stock taking and preparation of status reports

QUALIFICATIONS

i) Grade 12/Form V School Certificate or its equivalent.

ii) Minimum of Advanced Diploma/CIPS level 6 in Purchasing and Supply.

iii) Minimum of 3 years working experience in housekeeping operations in the hospitality industry

iv) Must be Computer literate
