Recruitment on behalf of our client in the conservation industry
OutResource Business Support (ORBS), a leading professional services firm, is recruiting dynamic and experienced Stores Personnel on behalf of our client—an established and impact-driven organization operating at the intersection of community development and environmental conservation.
The Stores Personnel will be responsible for managing and overseeing all stock and inventory within the warehouse. This includes maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock tracking, and preparing relevant reports. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and effective teamwork.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse environment.
Record all sales and ensure timely restocking based on stock movement.

Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.

Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock checks.
Prepare accurate monthly inventory reports for management.

Implement and enhance inventory-related internal controls.
Set and monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.

Conduct spot checks and full stock audits monthly.

Reconcile physical stock with system quantities; investigate and explain discrepancies.

Supply stock items to various business units as required.
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.

Prepare goods receipt notes and relevant supporting documents.

Inspect received materials for quality and quantity, referencing delivery note (DN) numbers.

Ensure bin cards are updated in real-time.

Prepare monthly and annual material consumption and requirement reports.

Manage stock based on monthly usage trends and forecasts.

Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) for received materials.

Maintain stock records for consumables and packing materials.

Apply FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory principles.

Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Oversee waste management, including disposal of damaged stock.

Manage and process inventory-related claims.

Ensure prompt posting of received and issued inventory, including internal transfers.

Supervise and support staff in the stores department.
Education and Qualifications

Grade 12 School Certificate.

Minimum Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Logistics,

Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
Qualifications recognized by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
