Grade: CEC9 | Contract Type: Permanent | Location: Kitwe
This role is responsible for providing routine and transactional supply service support by replenishing, storing, maintaining issuing items and materials to meet company requirements. The job holder will be reporting to the
Advisor – Warehouse & Inventory Control.
Key Accountabilities

Issue goods, materials, supplies and consignments with focus on accuracy and speed.

Confirm the accuracy and condition of stock and issue materials in specified quantities.

Liaise with other warehouse and logistics staff to ensure that there is an uninterrupted flow of required goods in order to guarantee continuous operations.

Maintain the condition and shelf life of stock.

Accurately identify and label stock items.
-
Operate forklift and other materials lifting equipment to handle and move inventory and execute loading and offloading operations.

Apply safe and correct method of handling various types of materials.

Correctly bin items in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Highlight, log and where possible, action discrepancies including binning errors, incorrect manifests and receiving errors.

Document all issues and other warehousing transactions by completing forms, documents, reports and maintaining databases.

Assist in stocktaking and reconciliation assignments.

Carry out regular stock maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

Demonstrate consistent behaviour in line with the Company’s HSE and Risk management policies, procedures, and standards.

Carry out all work tasks and assignments in strict compliance with applicable HSE policies and standards by participating in HSE meetings and by completing risk assessments and HSE incident reports.

Use the available business information system to ensure that maximum value and outputs are derived in the management of inventory.

Participate as an effective team member in working collaboratively with leaders, peers and relevant others (including from other teams) to achieve business goals

Perform any other tasks as directed by the supervisor
To be considered for this role, you will be required to have:
-
Grade 12 School Certificate.
-
Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Advanced Diploma or Diploma.
-
Fully accredited as a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
-
3 years post qualification experience in Supply chain.
-
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms preferably Navision.
