Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure in Lusaka. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement and manage security measures.
• Perform regular system backups and recovery.
• Manage user accounts and access permissions.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of system administration and network management.
• Proficiency in system administration tools and software (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Teamwork and project management skills.

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in systems administration.
