Zambia Sugar Plc. is an ABF Sugar Company and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.
The company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position in the Estate Support Services Department:
SYSTEMS AND SURVEILLANCE OFFICER – PERMANENT x1
This position will be reporting to the Security and Emergency Response Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities

Checking and ensuring CCTV system is always working efficiently by reviewing daily CCTV performance, troubleshooting faults and repairing hardware problems in liaison with IT Section.

Recording all CCTV system faults and action taken to rectify the problem in a logbook and timely reporting to the Security Manager.

Carry out performance review of the CCTV operators and propose training and skills improvement if required.

Working closely to IT team when installing or conducting scheduled maintenance.

Ensure that discs and other removable electronic devices are securely stored and that only authorized people can access the control room.

Ensuring car track system is working efficiently by performing a daily review and reporting problems to the Security Manager.

Propose new vehicle geofences and follow up all car track alerts and exemption reports.

Maintain SACS Access control computerized system by capturing approved employees and contractors in the system as approved by the Security Manager.

Supervising CCTV and car track operators on day-to-day work and completing daily reports.

Producing forensic evidence using Saflec (access and egress) car track system and video recording for internal disciplinary inquires and court of law.

Supervise performance of Electronic Surveillance equipment including speed cameras, and vehicle tracking to ensure appropriate prosecutions at the required standards.

Log onto the Cane Lab system daily and Perform molasses and sugar reconciles and, ensure that accurate dispatches information is regularly verified by security Manager and then sent to Finance Department.

Ensure that all images of sugar and molasses transactions are copied and stored in an appropriate folder.

Check and make sure that the sugar and molasses weighing process at the weighbridge comply with the procedures in place.

Ensure that the electronic guard patrol system is properly working and that the daily patrol report is also generated.

Promote and adhere to ABF’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
Minimum Requirements

Full grade 12 Certificate.

Diploma in Electronics, recognized Security bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Preferably 3 years’ experience in a similar role with proven track record.

Sound computer skills, honest, high integrity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical ability and attention to detail.

Experience with Saflec is essential
