Job Purpose
The Tax Assistant Manager will deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe. Be responsible for ensuring the proper administration of tax in the company through the proper interpretation of the applicable tax laws and supporting / training staff in the same. Facilitate meetings with officers from tax authorities, as and when required. Liaise with tax authorities, provide tax audit support, review, and respond to correspondence from tax authorities and maintain these on file.

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Taxation or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 4-5 years’ progressive work experience purely in Tax Management
  • Proven work experience as a Tax Specialist or similar role and must be
    conversant with the computations and mechanisms of all the tax types
    administered by ZRA.
  • Working experience with ZRA or well established Tax firm at middle management level will be a plus
  • Must have proven work experience with ZRA in resolution of tax issues
  • Must be a member of ZICA.
