Job Summary:
Mulungushi Innovations is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to join our finance team. In this role, you will provide expert tax advice and services to clients, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and maximizing tax efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local regulations. Provide guidance on tax-efficient investment decisions and financial planning.
Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their tax situations, provide advice, and answer questions. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and objectives.
Research: Conduct thorough research on tax-related issues, including legislation, regulations, and case law. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in tax consulting.
Audit Support: Assist clients in preparing for and responding to tax audits. Provide guidance on documentation and representation during audit proceedings.
Education and Training: Educate clients about tax issues and best practices through workshops, seminars, and written materials. Empower clients to make informed decisions regarding their tax strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
3+ years of experience in tax consulting or a related field.
Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
