Job Summary:
Mulungushi Innovations is seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to lead our tax team. In this role, you will oversee tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for clients, ensuring adherence to regulations and optimizing tax strategies. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in driving the success of our tax practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local and international regulations. Analyze clients’ financial situations to identify tax planning opportunities.

Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate training opportunities.

Compliance Oversight:
Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Review tax filings for compliance and quality.

Client Consultation:
Meet with clients to discuss their tax situations, provide advice, and answer questions. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and objectives.

Audit Management:
Lead tax audit support efforts, coordinating with clients and tax authorities. Provide representation during audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Research and Analysis:
Conduct research on tax legislation, regulations, and best practices. Stay current with industry trends and changes in tax laws that may affect clients.

Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and present reports on tax matters to senior management and clients. Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is required.

5+ years of experience in tax management or consulting, with a strong focus on compliance and advisory services.

In-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations.
