About the role:
We are looking for a results-driven Technical Sales Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will leverage in-depth knowledge of IT products and services to drive sales, build strong customer relationships, and provide tailored solutions that meet client needs. With at least 2 years of IT sales experience, strong technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of the Zambian IT market, you will play a key role in growing the business and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop in-depth knowledge of our IT products and services, including hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment) and software solutions (operating systems, office software, ERP systems and other specialized software).

Clearly communicate technical features and benefits to customers.

Proactively engage with potential and existing customers to drive sales.

Identify new business opportunities, build a strong client base, and foster long-term relationships to maximize customer retention.

Understand customer needs and technical challenges, providing tailored IT solutions that address their requirements and enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed targets and grow the business.

Prepare and present customized proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring all customer requirements are accurately reflected.

Provide hands-on technical support to customers, including hardware repairs, software installations, troubleshooting, and addressing technical questions.

Monitor and report on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends.

Provide weekly updates to management on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Desired Skills and Experience

Degree in ICT or a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering).

Minimum of 2+ years of direct sales experience in the IT sector, particularly in Lusaka or the Zambian market, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Hands-on experience with hardware repairs (desktops, laptops, networking equipment) and software installations (operating systems, office software, and other tools).

Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to prospect, close sales, and build lasting customer relationships.

Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues and tailor solutions to customer needs.

Familiarity with the Zambian IT market and customer behavior, especially in Lusaka.

Knowledge of current IT trends and emerging technologies.
