We are recruiting!

Our Client in Kitwe, Copperbelt is looking for an Accountant to join their team on a 6 months temporal contract for a job vacancy within the Mining industry.

Please note that only candidates with proven experience of working with SAP accounting software will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Management :
   • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
2. Financial Reporting :
   • Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and monthly financial reports in line with company and regulatory requirements.
3. Reconciliation :
   • Perform bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting :
   • Assist in budget preparation and forecast processes, providing insights into financial performance.
5. SAP Accounting System :
   • Utilize SAP for financial data entry, reporting, and analysis. Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded in the system.
6. Compliance and Audit :
   • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
7. Expense Management :
   • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring they align with approved budgets and company policies.
8. Collaboration :
   • Work closely with other departments to provide financial information and support for various projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the mining sector.
• Proven experience with SAP accounting software is a must.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Contract Duration: 6 months with no extension.
