Our client, a Global Healthcare and Crop Science Innovation company is looking to hire a skilled and dedicated Tractor / Planter Operator to join their agricultural team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractors and planters efficiently, ensuring that all planting activities are completed safely and in a timely manner. This role plays a crucial part in supporting crop production and maintaining agricultural operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and planters for various agricultural tasks, including planting, cultivation, and land preparation.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance on tractors and planting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery.
• Monitor crop development and make necessary adjustments to the planting process as needed.
• Collaborate with farm management to plan and execute planting schedules effectively.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
• Keep accurate records of planting activities and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with other agricultural tasks as required during peak seasons.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.

• Minimum of a Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Certification in Agriculture, Mechanization, or related fields is preferred.
• Proven experience operating tractors and planters in agricultural settings.
• Strong understanding of agricultural processes and planting techniques.
• Familiarity with basic mechanics and maintenance of farming equipment.
• Ability to work long hours, including early mornings and weekends during planting seasons.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid Class C driver’s license is an advantage.
