Trade Marketing Representative

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate the corporate strategy into a marketing strategy that grows the BAT brands penetration and maximises the ROI, ensuring.
  • Territory implementation of a trade marketing & distribution strategy that meets objectives set for consumer and customer segments.
  • Integration of market, consumer and customer insights in the territory, facilitating the formulation of the marketing strategy
  • Achievement of end market business strategies in the territory assigned.
  • Drive the implementation of the marketing strategy.
  • Implementation of cascaded marketing programmes,
  • Identify necessary changes in strategy and priorities during implementation.
  • Optimise effectiveness and efficiency of company’s resources.
  • Implementation of global initiatives in the territory assigned.
  • Manage self KPIs and track ongoing results.
  • Manage allocated budget for all trade marketing activities in the territory.
  • Drive an on-going process of marketing evaluation and innovation in order to achieve the maximum competitiveness in availability, communications, price and image.
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Marketing Principles.
  • Carry out any further duties as assigned by your line manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Experience & Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in a Business-related field
  • Must have Zambia Qualifications Authority Certification (ZAQA)
  • Must have a driving license.

Functional Knowledge & Skills

  • Self-discipline and organization
  • Self-starter
  • Field operations

Interpersonal Skills

  • Self – Motivated.
  • Ability to solve conflicts in trade.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
