Kalonga Logistics Limited is a contractor with Lumwana Mine Company located in Kalumbila District, North-western Province. Kalonga Logistics Limited’s Core business is Supply Chain Management.
We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the following vacant position.
TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS OFFICER
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting: Operations Supervisor
Location: Kalumbila, North-western Province
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing and submitting customs documentation, calculating duties and taxes, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Assessing and verifying documents relevant to customs, clearing, and forwarding, such as tariffs, invoices, insurance, and freight charges.

Identifying and evaluating risks related to shipping and clearing, including potential delays or non-compliance issues.

Collaborating with government agencies, clients, and transporters to ensure efficient clearance and delivery of goods.

Providing real-time tracking of freight movements and ensuring timely delivery.

Ensuring compliance with customs laws, regulations, and procedures, including ASYCUDA WORLD system.

Providing updates on shipment status, and advising on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, and insurance requirements.

Monitor supply chain performance metrics, analyze operational data, and prepare reports for management on various logistical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Full Grade 12 Certificate
-
Degree in Clearing and Forwarding, Transport and Logistics, or a related field.

2-3 years working experience in a similar role

Valid Silicosis Certificate
-
Ability to work flexible hours.

Membership with the Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ZCILT).
